Child Neurology Residency Program
Welcome to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, and thanks for your interest in our Child Neurology Residency Program! We are in the midst of an exciting era for child neurology as we continue to discover ways to help people with neurological disorders and diseases. Advances in research, diagnosis, management, and treatment are improving pediatric patients' health outcomes and quality of life like never before. In light of this, the Child Neurology division and faculty at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital are committed to furthering the education of trainees and the next generation of compassionate child neurologists by building a program with an outstanding clinical impact and academic legacy.
For decades, we have participated in educating medical students, pediatrics residents and adult neurology residents. We boast a strong partnership with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, which serve as additional designated training sites for our program. Our institution offers a Neuro-Oncology fellowship, and our partner institutions provide additional fellowship program opportunities.
We have a tremendously diverse patient population, providing ample opportunities for learning the skilled management of the entire spectrum of neurological disorders and providing high-quality care to patients and their families. Diversity and inclusion are core values of Johns Hopkins Medicine. These values nurture our goals for health equity, enhance our ability to build teams and community partnerships, and drive innovation. Thus, our program is enriched by an inclusive clinical learning environment that values and celebrates the contributions of diverse individuals. In the same way, a well-rounded educational program recognizes the importance and value of a trainee’s health and wellness. Thus, our program grants its trainees access to wellness resources and wellness days to schedule physician and dental health maintenance visits without discounting from vacation time. In addition, Child Neurology Residents will organize and participate in bi-annual wellness retreats.
St. Petersburg and its neighboring cities, Tampa, Sarasota and coastal areas, feature award-winning beaches, highly rated restaurants, numerous state and national parks, excellent shopping, top breweries and farmer’s markets, fantastic concert venues, and remarkable cultural experiences. There are professional sports teams in the area (NFL, MLB, NHL, United Soccer League) and two international airports with non-stop flights to more than 90 destinations in Europe, Canada, Central America and the Caribbean.
If you share our passion for delivering excellence in health care, serving our community, advocating for children with neurological illness, and becoming leaders in child neurology, please learn more about our child neurology residency program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
