Vice Dean and Physician-in-Chief
Dr. Jallo joined Johns Hopkins in 2003 as a pediatric neurosurgeon. In 2013, he became the pediatric neurosurgery division director. Dr. Jallo moved to Johns Hopkins All Children's in 2015 to launch the Institute for Brain Protection Sciences, a multi-disciplinary institute that unites clinicians, researchers and educators focused on protecting neurodevelopment and caring for children with injuries and illnesses that affect the brain.
Dr. Jallo has published more than 245 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 89 book chapters and is co-editor of five textbooks on pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric epilepsy surgery and neuroendoscopy. He earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia Medical School and completed his residency at New York University Medical Center and fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center.

Designated Institutional Official
Dr. Maniscalco is the director of medical education at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She joined the faculty in 2018 and became the director in 2021. She is the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and her academic work relates to clinical teaching, promoting trainee autonomy, and mentorship.
She is a former pediatric hospital medicine fellowship director and chaired the AAP Section on Hospital Medicine PHM Fellows Conference from 2015-2018. She was the 2017 recipient of the PHM Award for Educational Excellence. She completed her pediatric residency and pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Program Director, Pediatric Residency Program
Dr. Wroblewski specializes in general pediatrics at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She sees patients on the hospital’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida. She joined the hospital staff in 2023.
She most recently practiced general pediatrics at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio and was associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toledo. She also served as the pediatric residency program director.
Dr. Wroblewski earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. She completed her residency in pediatrics and served as chief resident at the University of Toledo. She also earned master’s certificates in clinical pathology from the Medical College of Ohio and in medical education from the University of Cincinnati.

Associate Program Director, Pediatric Residency Program
Dr. Kotula specializes in pediatric critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the hospital staff in 2020. Dr. Kotula serves as associate program director for the pediatric residency program. Dr. Kotula earned his medical degree from The Commonwealth Medical College (now Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine) in Scranton, Pennsylvania as a member of the inaugural graduating class. He completed his residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia where he also served an additional year as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. He received awards during his residency and fellowship training for outstanding contributions to resident education.
Dr. Kotula is a core faculty member in the pediatric residency program and the rotation director for pediatric critical care at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital since 2021. He is a faculty member in the pediatric critical care fellowship program where he co-directs the case conference educational series. He also serves on the hospital ethics committee. His academic interests include medical education and ethics. -

Dr. Walters is a pediatric hospitalist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2022 and serves as the associate program director of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s pediatric residency program. Dr. Machry received a Department of Pediatrics Teaching Excellence Award as a resident at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she completed her pediatric residency and fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

Dr. Elliott specializes in pediatric anesthesiology, acute and chronic pain management, regional anesthesia and is a medical acupuncturist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the hospital staff in 2013. He also is associate program director of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Pediatric Anesthesia fellowship program. Dr. Elliott earned his medical degree at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Fellowship Director, Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy
Dr. Chellapandian is the division chief of blood and marrow transplant and specializes in bone marrow transplant as a hematologist-oncologist and serves as Director of the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy for Non-Malignant Conditions (CCGNC) in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute. He joined the hospital staff in 2017. Dr. Chellapandian's clinical and research interests include hematopoietic stem cell transplant for primary immunodeficiency, immune dysregulation disorders, sickle cell disease, thalassemia, and treatment of histiocytic disorders. He has special focus on ex-vivo graft engineering techniques and autologous gene therapy. He has adapted new methods of T- cell depletion using haploidentical transplantation to transplant patients lacking a suitable matched donor. He has numerous scientific papers and review articles published in this field.

Dr. Mauriello is a general pediatric cardiologist who treats children with congenital heart disease. His areas of focus include graduate education as well as clinical interests in pulmonary hypertension and autonomic dysfunction. After graduating from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, he completed a residency in pediatric and adolescent medicine and a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, located at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His research interests include clinical outcomes and quality improvement measures.

Dr. Johnson is the director of the Fetal Heart Program in the Heart Institute at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She joined the hospital team in 2021. She was previously a pediatric cardiologist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson has published a number of peer-reviewed articles, authored book chapters and given talks nationally. Her clinical expertise is in fetal and pediatric echocardiography, and the care of all children with heart disease. Her research interests center around value, cost and outcomes in congenital heart disease.

Dr. Laks is a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in heart failure and transplantation. Dr. Laks earned her medical degree from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she also served as pediatric co-chief resident. She completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship, where she served as chief pediatric cardiology fellow, followed by additional training in a pediatric heart function and transplant fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She earned her Master of Science in Community Health with a specialization in Health Practitioner Teacher Education from the University of Toronto. Dr. Siems is a physician in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Dr. Sochet is a physician in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital who joined the hospital staff in 2016 and is an Assistant Professor on Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Florida State University College of Medicine, completed his pediatric residency at University of South Florida College of Medicine, fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center, and Masters of Health Science in Clinical and Translational Research from the George Washington University. Dr. Mayer is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She is also the medical director of the Vascular Anomalies and Birthmarks Program at the hospital. She cares for patients with benign and aggressive vascular tumors, lymphatic and venous malformations, and overgrowth syndromes.

Dr. Drach specializes in hospice and palliative care medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She was one of the founding members of and serves as the division chief for the pediatric palliative care program at the hospital. She joined the hospital staff as a bedside nurse in 1994. Dr. Drach won the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital clinical collaboration and teamwork award in the 2016 Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Excellence Awards.

Dr. Irani practices in the Sports Medicine program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She is board certified in pediatrics and eligible for certification in sports medicine. She is involved in a research study through the Johns Hopkins All Children's Institute for Brain Protection Science that follows a group of youth athletes to learn more about the effects of sports-related concussions on a child’s neuropsychiatric, neuropsychological, and cognitive functioning. Her clinical interests include concussions, ACL injuries in soccer players, and overuse injuries in dancers.

He serves as the Associate Program Director of the pediatric surgical critical care fellowship program, and leads the American College of Surgeons' Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Program at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Thatch earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a pediatric surgery research fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and completed his general surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery critical care and served as a pediatric surgery intensivist at C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital/University of Michigan. Dr. Thatch then completed a pediatric surgery fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

Julie joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in June 2024 as the Director of the Office of Medical Education. Before this role, she dedicated 17 years to various administrative positions within Graduate Medical Education, including roles as Training Program Coordinator for both medicine and surgical subspecialties, as well as Department Manager. Julie also worked as a consultant at a national firm focused on Graduate Medical Education. Her career includes extensive experience with accreditation site visits at program, hospital, and institutional levels and leading projects across training programs and multiple-hospital systems. She has a deep expertise in training program organization and leadership, with a strong focus on process improvement, project management, and procedure standardization. Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The Ohio State University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Franklin University.

She is the GME Administrator for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship programs. Ashley graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Management. Prior to moving to Florida, she worked in a community hospital in Michigan. She has recently graduated from APPD’s program LEAPES, Leadership Empowerment for Advancing Pediatric Education Specialists.

Visiting TraineesChelse joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital as the Office of Medical Education Administrative Coordinator in April of 2022. Chelse handles the coordination of clinical rotations for all visiting medical students, residents, and fellows. Chelse was born in Saint Petersburg, Florida and has lived in the area her entire life! Before coming to Johns Hopkins All Children's she was a Senior Consultant at a business consulting firm. She has her Associate's degree and plans to further her education.

Fellowship ProgramsDawn Jones joined Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in 2012 and is a GME Administrator for the Pediatric Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Programs. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Wellness Leadership from the University of South Florida in 1994 and a Master’s in Managerial Leadership from National Louis University in 2001. Prior to joining the hospital, she worked as an executive assistant and physician liaison for a large hematology oncology practice in the region.

Fellowship ProgramsSabah started at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2024 as the GME Administrator for the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program. Sabah graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies in 2023. She is currently completing her Master’s of Healthcare of Administration at Walden University.

Pediatric Residency ProgramLiz Savic joined Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in 2021 and is a GME Administrator for the Pediatric Residency Program and Pediatric Child Neurology Residency Program Administrator. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Autism Studies degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2010. What Liz finds most interesting about PRP is the Professional Development programs such as LEAD and PAUSE for the residents. She looks forward to the further development of these programs.

Fellowship ProgramsAshley joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2017 is the GME Administrator for the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Pediatric Neuro-Oncology, and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Fellowship programs. She enjoys supporting the development and initial accreditation process of new GME programs. Ashley graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and completed an internship with the Office of Continuous Professional Development at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.

Accreditation and Compliance Manager
Amy Williams joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2019. She provides oversight and internal support with ACGME regulatory processes. Her focus is on compliance initiatives to support continuous accreditation across all programs and the sponsoring institution. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Workforce Education Development. Before joining the hospital, she worked in the Office of Education and Curriculum and the Office of Continuing Professional Development at a medical school in the Midwest. Her interests include reading, watching for dolphins at the beach, and spending time with her friends and family, especially spoiling her granddaughters.

She is the GME Administrator for the Pediatric Sports Medicine, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatric Anesthesiology, and Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship programs. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration from St. Petersburg College in 2014 and completed her Master of Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2021.
