The Office of Clinician and Faculty Care, established by the JHM Office of Well-Being in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is offering a confidential pathway for eligible employees to receive mental health support from experienced Hopkins clinicians.

Free and confidential support, counseling, and coaching sessions by Johns Hopkins providers will be available to eligible employees at a variety of times, both in-person and virtually.

Who is eligible?

  • School of Medicine faculty
  • JHM Employed Physicians (e.g., JHCP, JHRP)
  • Registered Nurses 
  • Advanced Practice Providers (APPs):
    • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
    • Physician Assistant (PA)
    • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
    • Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
    • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
       

Other clinicians interested in receiving services will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on capacity; call 443-287-5559 if you have questions about eligibility.

Office of Clinician and Faculty Care services are currently available to eligible employees in Maryland. If you are in Washington, D.C., Florida or other areas, you will be referred to JHEAP until we expand services.

 

Meet the Team

Sara DeRosa, MSW, LCSW-C 

Sara DeRosa is a clinical social worker and serves as a mental health therapist in the Office of Clinician and Faculty Care.  She has extensive experience in the intersection of medicine and mental health, with a focus on critical and chronic illness, oncology and women’s health. She obtained a master’s degree in social work from Louisiana State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester.
Sara DeRosa

Neda F. Gould, PhD

Neda Gould is a clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the school of medicine, where she is also director of the mindfulness program. In addition to treating people with anxiety and depression using cognitive behavioral therapy, she teaches mindfulness-based stress reduction and other mindfulness techniques to faculty and staff to address stress and burnout.
Neda Gould

Dean F. MacKinnon, MD 

Dean MacKinnon is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 25 years on the Johns Hopkins psychiatry faculty. He has worked in a wide variety of settings, both inpatient and outpatient, and his clinical specialty is mood disorders. MacKinnon emphasizes a multi perspective approach to patient care in which elements of the whole person — their life story, their personality, their habits — as well as their psychiatric disorder, if they have one, are all considered when developing a pragmatic treatment plan.
Dean MacKinnon

Graham Redgrave, MD

Graham Redgrave is a board-certified psychiatrist and the medical director of the Office of Clinician and Faculty Care. He joined the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at school of medicine in 2003. His scholarly work has largely focused on eating disorders, which has also been his main area of clinical focus. He was a faculty member in the Colleges Advisory Program from 2009–13 and the psychiatry residency director from 2013–2024.
