Medical Student Training

The Johns Hopkins Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, in Baltimore, Maryland, offers medical students from Johns Hopkins and other schools an opportunity to experience what a career in geriatric medicine or gerontology entails.

The Division offers a Medical Student Training in Aging Research Program (MSTAR) and clinical and research electives for Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and visiting medical students.

Program Information

Geriatrics Interest Group

The Geriatrics Interest Group is open to any Johns Hopkins School of Medicine student with an interest in geriatrics. The group, which is student-run and meets every other month, explores issues in geriatrics ranging from social and public policy issues to research and clinical issues. Students with interest in any medical specialty are welcome to join. Events are often co-sponsored with Geriatrics Interest Groups from the School of Nursing and the School of Public Health.
