The Johns Hopkins Postgraduate Emergency Medicine Residency for Physician Assistants (PA) is an 18-month postgraduate training program.

The program prepares qualified PAs with the evidence-based knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities required to provide multi-disciplinary and compassionate emergency medicine care.

Founded in 2007 as the first civilian clinically-based program of its kind, our program combines didactic instruction and practical training to prepare you for the rigorous demands of emergency medicine.

This forum will include information on our program, and an interactive discussion with our Assistant Program Director and current and previous residents. We will also take time to discuss PA postgraduate training programs in general, and what to look for when evaluating such programs.

March 1st is our application deadline for our Fall 2025 positions, which start in October.
