Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship

Clinical Program Directors: Stefan Zimmerman, M.D. and Tony Lin, M.D.

This one-year fellowship is Non-Standard and starts July 1, 2026.

Applications for the Cardiothoracic Fellowship beginning July 1, 2025 are closed.

The Cardiothoracic Imaging fellowship program will accept one fellow each year and will be fully integrated with Johns Hopkins Hospital. The fellow will rotate through both hospitals to take advantage of the unique and complementary educational opportunities as well as the exceptional resources that are available across the Hopkins Health System.

In addition to rotating with the cardiothoracic imaging team to learn chest CT, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI, the fellow will also benefit from the multidisciplinary collaboration that is such a strength of the Hopkins system. Fellows will attend and staff multidisciplinary thoracic tumor board, interstitial lung disease conference, congenital cardiac surgery conference, and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy conference. These conferences will be a great opportunity for fellows to learn how cardiothoracic imaging fits within the context of the greater patient care team and will learn how to tailor imaging reports to the needs of the ordering practitioners. Ample research opportunities in cardiac and thoracic CT, cardiac MR and AI are also available.

In addition to a competitive annual salary, fellows receive educational funds.

Candidates must be Board-Certified or Board-Qualified in Diagnostic Radiology and must be eligible to obtain a State of Maryland medical license. Along with your completed application, please include your CV, a personal statement and three letters of recommendation, signed and on official institutional letterhead.
