Deirdre Johnston, M.B.B.Ch., M.D.
Her clinical and research interests are focused on improving the way care is delivered to frail elderly patients with psychiatric illness, and creating and developing models of care that ensure continuity, are aimed at reducing the occurrence of preventable acute episodes of illness, and make better use of existing resources. Her recent work has focused on incorporated telemedicine into service delivery.

Jin Hui Joo, M.D., M.A.
Her interests are the development of mental health service interventions for late-life depression in the community; cultural influences in expression, diagnosis and treatment late-life depression; and the evaluation and management of behavioral disturbances in dementia.

Susan W. Lehmann, M.D.
She has an active research project on lithium associated hypercalcemia/hyperparathyroidism in elderly patients.

Jeannie-Marie Leoutsakos, Ph.D., M.H.S. 
Her research involves the application of biostatistics to psychiatric research, both clinical and epidemiological. She is primarily interested in latent variable methods, including latent class analysis and growth mixture models for the modeling of risk factors, treatment response, or outcomes as a function of latent class membership based on patterns of symptoms or shapes of trajectories over time.

Constantine Lyketsos, M.D., M.H.S.
His primary research focus is treatment development for Alzheimer's disease. He conducts research on biomarker validation. He leads or contributes to research involving new biologic therapies for Alzheimer's such as deep brain stimulation. His treatment research also targets neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia such as depression, agitation or apathy. He contributes to research disseminating the Johns Hopkins model of dementia care widely in the community targeting people who live in their homes.

Milap Nowrangi, M.D., M.S.
His research interests include using neuroimaging methods to study functional and anatomical connectivity of cognitive networks.

Chiadi Onyike, M.D., M.B.B.S. 
His interests are in the phenomenology of neurodegenerative brain diseases, using phenotypes and their correlates as models for understanding mechanisms of cognition and psychopathology.Current work focuses on epidemiologic, psychometric, neuropathologic, neuroimaging and treatment studies in frontotemporal dementias and young-onset and atypical forms of Alzheimer disease.

Greg Pontone, M.D.
His clinical and research focus is on improving the treatment and understanding of neuropsychiatric symptoms in Parkinson's disease.

Vani Rao, M.B.B.S., MD
Her interests are in the neuropsychiatric consequences of traumatic brain injury, including therapeutic strategies and neurobiological mechanisms.

Paul Rosenberg, M.D.
His interests are in the areas of preclinical biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease, including PET and peripheral blood studies of inflammation; depression and other neuropsychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease and clinical trials of new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.

Durga Roy, M.D., M.S.
Her interests are in the area of agitation in traumatic brain injury and the special needs population.

Quincy Miles Samus, Ph.D.
Her research focuses on dementia care management and care delivery across multiple settings. She is devoted to finding practical, effective, and sustainable ways to improve dementia care and outcomes for elders.

Gwenn Smith, Ph.D.
Her research interests have focused on developing and applying in vivo brain imaging methods to understand the mechanisms underlying the mood and cognitive responses to drug and brain stimulation treatment. The ultimate goals of this work are to identify predictors of response and mechanisms of response to inform the development of more effective treatments. While the majority of this work has focused on geriatric depression, mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, she has applied the methods developed to other neuropsychiatric disorders including schizophrenia and traumatic brain injury.

His clinical and research interests focus on neuropsychiatric symptoms in dementia.
