Continuing Education Programs
Clinical Vestibular Competency Course
Format: Online (now – November 30, 2024) and in person (September 13 – 15, 2024)
This online course with an optional three-day in-person training offers an opportunity to practice your vestibular pathology and rehabilitation skills and get certified. This course is designed for rehab specialists, but other clinicians who are interested in vestibular medicine are welcome.
Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Certificate Program
Format: Online, rolling admission
This program offers an asynchronous online curriculum of post-professional didactic education for physical therapists. Enroll in a single course or complete the full five-course program to earn a certificate.
Orthopaedic Physical Therapy CEU Series
Format: In person, various dates (August – November 2024)
This in-person four-module education series aims to equip physical therapists, occupational therapists and chiropractors with the knowledge and skills to provide optimal care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Sports Medicine Physical Therapy CEU Series
Format: In person, various dates (July, September and December 2024)
This in-person three-module education series provides physical therapists, athletics trainers, physicians and chiropractors with knowledge and skills needed to deliver expert-level care to athletes, from on-the-field injury management through sports performance testing.
Strength is a Skill Course
Format: In-person, postponed until Spring 2025
This 2-day, in-person course equips physical and occupational therapists, physicians and other allied healthcare professionals with strategies to improve and refine movement patterns, helping bridge the gap between rehabilitation, strength training and everyday activities.
Splinting Simplified: An Upper Extremity Orthotics Course
Format: In-person, May 3 - 4, 2025
This in-person course teaches clinicians the principles and processes for creating different types of custom upper extremity orthotic, including how and when to use various splinting materials and considerations for human biomechanics.
APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Level 1
Format: In-person, various dates
This program aims to provide new and experienced rehabilitation therapist educators and rehabilitation therapist assistant educators with skills and techniques to improve their teaching abilities and knowledge.
