For 30 years, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has promoted access, inclusion and equity for people with disabilities. Here, you can find resources for a variety of conditions from the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Johns Hopkins Medicine at large, as well as national organizations.

Cardiac and Stroke

For cardiac and stroke patients, we offer rehabilitation after both short- and long-term hospital stays, and even partner with our colleagues in neurology for innovative treatment.

Hearing Loss

Our colleagues in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery know that hearing loss does not discriminate. These experts provide support including hearing aids and cochlear implants.

Limb Loss

Limb loss is a life-changing event. The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation partners with Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to provide comprehensive treatment and support for those with limb differences.

  • Promoting Amputee Life Skills: PALS Online is an interactive program to help you manage your life after limb loss. It will help you explore the ways your life has changed and how you can move forward.

Mobility, Pain and Trauma
