Dr. Anderson is originally from Akron, Ohio. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy. Dr. Anderson’s professional interests include psychiatry and oncology. Upon completion of her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty residency training. Ultimately, she would like to practice as a board-certified clinical specialist at an academic medical center where she will have the opportunity to precept students and residents. In her free time she enjoys baking, hiking, and walking her dog. Dr. Anderson would like to sincerely thank her friends, family, and mentors for all of their support!

Dr. Michele Cung is originally from Andover, Massachusetts. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Cung’s professional interests include pediatrics, pharmacogenomics, and ambulatory care. Upon completion of her PGY-1 residency, she hopes to pursue specialty residency training. Ultimately, her goal is to practice in an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist with the opportunity to precept and mentor students and residents. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, baking, reading, and exploring the city. Dr. Cung would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their continual support, encouragement, and guidance throughout her journey!

Dr. Thomas Diaz grew up in Concord, North Carolina and earned his Bachelor's degree and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr Diaz's professional interests include critical care, emergency medicine, and aerospace medicine. Upon completion of his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, he plans to pursue specialty residency training. He would like to practice at an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist where he will have opportunities to precept students/residents while engaging in research. Ultimately, he hopes to work for NASA or a commercial spaceflight program, conducting research and overseeing their pharmacy operations. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, snowboarding, watching sci-fi movies, exploring new restaurants, and reading. Dr. Diaz would like to thank his family, friends, and mentors for their ongoing support.

Dr. John Fattal is originally from Wayne, New Jersey. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Fattal’s professional interests include cardiology and oncology. Upon completion of his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, he plans to pursue specialty residency training. His ultimate career goal is to practice as a board-certified clinical specialist, with opportunities to participate in research and precepting. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys playing chess, watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with family, friends and his two cats, Kirby and Petal. Dr. Fattal would like to thank his family, girlfriend, friends, and mentors for their support and guidance at every step of the journey.

Dr. Lauren Danelle Lim is originally from Macomb, Michigan. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wayne State University - Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Lim's professional interests include critical care and emergency medicine. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty residency training. Ultimately, her goal is to practice as a board-certified clinical specialist at an academic medical center. She hopes to have many opportunities to precept and mentor students and residents. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, thrifting, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants and cafes. Dr. Lim would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their endless support and guidance along this journey!

Dr. Lauren Prack is from Whitefish, Montana and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She also concentrated her studies in acute care and completed a minor in Public Health throughout her time in Pittsburgh. Dr. Prack’s professional interests include emergency medicine and pediatrics. Upon completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty residency training and ultimately practice as a board-certified clinical specialist at an academic medical center. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys pilates, baking, and her dog Jules. Dr. Prack would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their endless support and encouragement!

Dr. Cole Swartz is originally from Loveland, Ohio. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University, Raabe College of Pharmacy. Dr. Swartz’s professional interests include oncology, cardiology, infectious diseases, and academia. Upon completion of his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, he plans to pursue a specialty residency training in one of his interest areas. Ultimately, he would like to practice at an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist where he will have opportunities to precept students and residents. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, reading, and being outdoors. Dr. Kate Peterson is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cedarville University. Following completion of her undergraduate studies, Kate remained at Cedarville University to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, concentrated in advanced clinical practice and pharmacotherapy. Kate is in her first year of the two-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Her professional interests include inpatient operations, continuous quality improvement, and pharmacy practice advancement. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, pilates, attending concerts, and traveling. Dr. Peterson would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their constant support and encouragement.

Dr. Shay Roth is originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, and continued her education at Pitt to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree with concentrations in Global Health and Pharmacotherapy in 2024. She is in her first year of the two-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree in Health Care Management at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Shay’s professional interests include global and public health, clinical pharmacy management, increasing access to care and health literacy in underserved populations, and advocating for the advancement of pharmacy practice. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, rescuing animals, crocheting, and hiking. Dr. Roth would like to thank God, her parents, family, friends, mentors, and Pitt Pharmacy family for the love, support, and guidance that inspired her to pursue a career in pharmacy leadership.

Dr. Amanda Fairbanks is from Seattle, Washington. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Washington State University. After completing her Bachelors, Amanda earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Washington. She is in her second year of the two-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree in Health Care Management at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Her professional interests include clinical pharmacy management, medication safety, providing access to care for underserved populations, mentoring students, and advancement of pharmacy clinical practices. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching hot yoga, taking ceramics classes, and hiking. Dr. Fairbanks would like to thank her family, friends and mentors for their consistent support throughout her education.

Dr. Emily Vanerian is originally from Plymouth, Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomolecular Sciences from the University of Michigan, followed by her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Dr. Vanerian is in her second year of the two-year Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency, which includes completing a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Analytics and Risk Management at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Her professional interests include addressing social determinants of health, pharmacy informatics and analytics, pharmacy automation, and finance and revenue cycle management. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching college sports, and taking her dog, Sadie, on new adventures. Dr. Madelleine Foster is originally from Mount Prospect, Illinois. She earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency training at AdventHealth Orlando in Florida. Dr. Foster’s professional interests include hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant. Her long-term career goals include practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacist, as well as, participating in leadership roles that promote the profession of pharmacy and medication access to patients. Dr. Foster likes to spend her free time enjoying new restaurants, playing Volo sports, walking along the Inner Harbor, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Foster would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their continued support, guidance, and encouragement.

Dr. Alex Killough is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. Dr. Killough’s professional interests within oncology include immunotherapy, infection prevention, and informatics. Ultimately, he would like to practice at an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist where he will have opportunities to precept students and residents. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, traveling, and reading. Dr. Sim's professional interests include bone marrow transplantation, hematologic malignancies, and oncology critical care. His long-term career goals include practicing as a board-certified clinical specialist at an academic medical center where he will have opportunities to precept pharmacy residents and students. In his free time, Dr. Sim enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, and watching Dallas based sports team.
