Home and Hospital
The state of Maryland requires that all children between the ages of 5 and 17 be enrolled in school. If your child is going to miss 20 or more days of school, it is time to look into H&H so that they do not fall behind in classes. The H&H service provides a teacher in the home or the hospital, depending on your child's circumstances. Please note that in most cases, H&H is only accessible to children enrolled in public school.
Please reach out to your Hopkins psychosocial care team (Social Worker/Child Life) by phone, email, or MyChart. They will be happy to help you navigate the process of applying for and renewing H&H coverage.
