Johns Hopkins is a globally-recognized and respected health institution, and joining the Hopkins network and family has allowed me to pursue the career I have always dreamed of. I get to travel the world to health emergencies and work with experts to have immediate impact in crisis situations. I frequently come across other Hopkins alumni (often in leadership positions) working in emergencies around the world, and we often talk about our time in East Baltimore. Essentially the institution has had its fingerprints in emergency medicine and global health for decades, and by training at JHU, I was able to connect with, learn from and contribute to this tremendous legacy.
