Medical Director

Kelly Henchel, M.D.

Dr. Henchel is medical director of the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinics at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She sees patients at the hospital’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida. She joined the hospital staff in 2023. She was previously a pediatrician at Carilion Children’s Pediatric Outpatient Clinic in Virginia. She was also associate professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and residency program director at Virginia Tech Carilion Pediatrics. Dr. Henchel earned her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. She completed training in pediatrics at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit.

We are committed to training the next generation of pediatricians. Our pediatric residency program brings some of the brightest young doctors from around the world to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital where our faculty physicians, staff and patients work together to provide excellent training for our resident physicians. As a teaching hospital and teaching clinic, we are as committed to their education as we are to providing excellent clinical care and advancing the field of pediatrics. As clinic providers, our residents care for your child in coordination with our faculty physicians.
