Jasmine Reese, M.D. M.P.H.
ADOLESCENT MEDICINE
Dr. Reese is the director of the Adolescent and Young Adult Specialty Clinic within the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She is also the adolescent medicine rotation director for the pediatric residency program. She joined the Johns Hopkins All Children's medical staff in 2016 and serves as a full-time assistant professor of pediatrics in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Reese’s clinical interests include reproductive health and mental health, and her research focuses are medical education and curriculum development in adolescent mental health and depression. She is an active member of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, where she also serves as the secretary for the southeast United States region.
Sarah Sobalvarro, Ph.D.
PSYCHOLOGY
Dr. Sobalvarro is a pediatric psychologist in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hough Family Institute for Brain Protection Sciences. She joined the hospital staff in 2019. In her role, Dr. Sobalvarro sees patients in the weight management and eating disorder clinics and provides weekly therapy for patients with disordered eating, body dissatisfaction, weight management concerns and psychological conditions.
Meg Taylor, R.N.
Meg Taylor, R.N., is a registered clinical nurse for the Adolescent and Young Adult Specialty Clinic. During your visit, Meg will introduce our clinic flow as well as complete vital sign and medical screen assessments. She will also help with coordinating any labs or testing that you may need.
Karen Diaz, R.D.
CLINIC DIETITIAN
Karen Diaz, R.D., is a registered dietitian who specializes in working with individuals with eating disorders. Karen will help identify challenges that exist with daily meal intake and will help you with meal planning.
Rebekah Diaz, L.C.S.W.
CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
Rebekah Diaz is a clinical social worker in the General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine Clinic. In her role, Diaz conducts psychosocial assessments, provides support and interventions for families who are experiencing hardships and ensures patients’ and families’ needs are being met and the best care is being provided. Before joining Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Diaz worked as a therapist for children and adolescents who had experienced trauma. She also has experience working as an applied behavior analysis therapist for children with an autism diagnosis. Rebekah received her B.A. in Psychology and Health Communication and her Master’s degree in social work.
