Novel Treatments for Advanced Liver Cancer
At Johns Hopkins, our clinical and research efforts are aligned when treating liver cancer. Our experts investigate novel systemic therapies and their integration into the surgical treatment plan for patients diagnosed with primary liver cancers, biliary cancers and cancers metastatic to the liver. Many of our studies involve systemic treatments combined with complex liver and biliary surgeries for traditionally unresectable liver lesions as well as novel systemic therapy approaches for resectable disease, but with historically high recurrence rates.
Our goal as surgeons within the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center is to support and promote our patients with the most innovative treatments and availability for a broad range of clinical trials.
