2024 Johns Hopkins Global Surgery Symposium: Bridging the Practice-to-Knowledge Gap

After the success of last year's spring symposium, we're excited to bring it back! We have a full day packed with stimulating talks on global surgery, engaging student presentations, and interactive breakout sessions.

Our lineup of plenary speakers this year include Dr. Sherry Wren from Stanford University, Dr. Emmanuel Ameh from the National Hospital in Abuja, Nigeria, and Dr. Kofi Boahene, representing Johns Hopkins University.

The Johns Hopkins Global Surgery Initiative (JHGSI) has taken an exciting step forward by transitioning into the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Surgery (JHCGS). This new designation signifies our expanded capacity to deliver impactful research, education, and advocacy efforts in this growing field.
