The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine diploma and hooding ceremony for the 2024 graduating class was held on Wednesday, May 22, at 2:30 p.m. The event was held at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Accessible Seating Accommodations
The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall offers seating accommodations for disabled guests. Accessible seating is available for guests with wheel chairs and walkers and companions. Ushers can provide additional guidance.

Parking

Need to purchase a parking pass? Please go here and select “sign up” to create a new account. Once created, you can purchase a $15 Daily Parking Pass. You will receive an email receipt with a link to a QR code. This QR code can be used from your smartphone and will grant access to the garage and side entrance as well as allow you to exit. We suggest taking a screenshot of the QR code so it is easily accessible and that you have it ready before you enter/exit.
Arrival Time
Students: Doors open at 1:00 p.m.
Guests: Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
Latest Arrival: Please arrive by 1:45 p.m. to ensure timely seating.
Registration and Check-In
Upon arrival at the Meyerhoff, all graduates must check-in.
You will receive a card detailing your seating assignment and marching order.
Proceed to the designated area for your degree group lineup.
Personal Belongings
-We recommend leaving all personal items, such as purses and bags, with your family or in your vehicle to avoid inconvenience.
Prohibited Items
Bags and purses larger than 13” x 15”, backpacks, and luggage are strictly prohibited. Diaper bags are permitted.
The following items are not allowed: wrapped gifts, balloons, signs, posters, banners, flags, umbrellas, alcohol, drugs, tobacco products (including e-cigarettes), pets (except for service dogs), knives, fireworks, laser pointers, lighters, weapons of any kind, and artificial noisemakers.
Only water is permitted in the auditorium.
Cap and Gown Return
Caps and gowns must be returned to the Oak Hall representative outside the Meyerhoff entrance after the ceremony.
If you are attending the university-wide ceremony on Thursday, May 23, 2024, you may return your regalia after that event.
Departure Time
Guests are encouraged to take photos and enjoy the moment; however, we kindly ask that everyone clear the premises by 5:30 p.m. to facilitate the venue's closing.
