Research in Imaging and Device Technologies
Cone Beam CT
We aim to develop advanced imaging and image processing techniques for cone beam CT, using deep learning, compressed sensing, and iterative algorithms, to enable high-resolution and low-dose imaging for clinical applications in radiation therapy, diagnostic radiology, orthopedic imaging, and interventional radiology.
MRI Imaging
We focus on developing novel MRI techniques and devices, such as 4D MRI and oxygen imaging, for improved treatment motion monitoring, targeting and treatment response monitoring. Our work includes the development of new contrast agents, imaging sequences, and data analysis tools using machine learning and deep learning techniques. We aim to push the limits of MRI technology to enable more precise and accurate diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment planning for a range of medical applications.
Advanced Ultrasound
We focus on developing novel ultrasound techniques and devices, including microbubbles and contrast agents, for non-invasive imaging and therapeutic applications in cancer, cardiovascular disease, and orthopedics surgery.
Image-Guided Interventions
We focus on developing new imaging techniques and devices, such as real-time MRI, for image-guided interventions in minimally invasive surgery, neurosurgery, and radiation therapy. We aim to improve the precision and safety of interventions, reduce procedure time and cost, and enhance patient outcomes.
Medical Image Computing and Analysis
We aim to develop advanced algorithms and tools for medical image computing and analysis, using deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, and artificial intelligence techniques. Focused areas include image segmentation, registration, classification, and prediction for a range of medical applications, such as auto-contouring, cancer detection, neuroimaging, and treatment response modeling. We aim to improve the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of medical image analysis, and enable personalized medicine and treatment planning.
