The Johns Hopkins Soccer Rehabilitation Program offers comprehensive evaluation, testing and therapies for soccer players of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to professionals. Our therapists work with athletes on rehabilitation and training strategies to prevent injuries, improve performance, recover from injuries and return to soccer safely. We have experience working with such organizations as the Soccer Association of Columbia and Baltimore Armour, partnering on sideline medical coverage and working with coaches, parents and players on injury prevention education. We also work with semi-professional teams such as the USL-2 and USL-W Christos FC teams.

How We Help
-
Why wait till an injury happens? We can help you avoid injury or re-injury through the right regimen of exercises aimed at strengthening, flexibility, correcting poor form and allowing muscles to properly warm up and cooldown. Our therapists use the FIFA 11+ Injury Prevention Program and other athlete assessment and injury prevention protocols to help you stay in the game.
-
Our team can create a custom age-appropriate rehabilitation and return-to-sport plan for each athlete, with the focus on addressing individual weaknesses and getting back to soccer safely. We also perform return-to-sport assessments and can provide clearence for specific injuries such as concussions.
Our experts are experienced in treating a range of soccer injuries, including:
-
Practice makes perfect, but you have to know what you need to improve. Our therapists can perform a comprehensive biomechanical analysis of common soccer maneuvers, including passing, change of direction, dribble or tackle, to help identify opportunities to gain strength, power, speed, agility or endurance. We can then develop a custom plan to help you improve your technique and elevate your skill.
-
Our therapists have limited availability for partnering with soccer clubs, venues and similar organizations to provide medical coverage during tournaments and other soccer events. In working with our partner organizations, we perform on-field and sideline evaluations and first aid for acute sports injuries as well as offer pre-participation screenings for teams or individual players. Our therapists also work with coaches, parents and athletes to provide education around soccer injuries and safety.
