New DEA Education Requirement Affecting All Prescribers
Update Regarding Required Opioid Training for DEA Renewal
Providers renewing their DEA registrations after June 27, 2023, will be required to complete a one-time, eight-hour training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders. This requirement effects all DEA registrants regardless of whether they currently are or are not willing to prescribe buprenorphine to patients.

35-minute interactive E-Learning Module (with FREE 0.75 CME/CE) that covers:
- What is DPP and DSMT and what are the benefits to patients?
- How to refer into DPP/DSMT.
- How to communicate with patients strategically and efficiently, and increase the chances they enroll in DPP/DSMT.
- 1-2 Hour Motivational Interviewing live Skills Workshop to learn how to motivate patients to enroll in and remain in DPP/DSMT
