For dryness you can increase the humidity setting. If you have dry mouth, you may be having air leak through your mask. A chinstrap may help. For excess water in your tubing, decrease the humidity and/or increase the tube temperature. Disconnect the tubing and hang to dry daily. Refer to your manual for step-by-step instructions.
-
It is normal for your machine to use varying amounts of water at night. This variance is due to differences in room temperature and relative humidity. Mask leaks will increase the amount of water used, adjust the mask and change supplies for best fit and seal.
-
While your mask is on turn your device on and reposition your mask by lifting the mask away from your face and reseating prior to tightening the headgear. It is best to adjust the tightness with the ramp time set in the off position. Your mask and nasal cushions/pillows should be changed every 2 weeks and full-face cushions should be changed monthly. Do not over tighten. Wipe the oils off your mask daily.
-
Wear your PAP while you are awake. This will help you get used to breathing with positive pressure. Continue daily use. Increasing your ramp time, EPR or C-flex settings may also help. If all adjustments fail, you may need to speak with your physician.
-
Check all cord connections. Try a different outlet.
