The mission of the Johns Hopkins Center for Advanced Physiologic Modeling (CAPM) is to leverage exemplary surgical and microsurgical expertise to create fit for purpose models bridging fundamental discovery and therapeutic translation.

  • Enhance Johns Hopkins’ translational research impact.
  • Enable clinically translatable research by providing access to advanced, reliable, fit-for-purpose in vivo models for academic researchers and industry partners.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary collaboration within JHU and in tune with JHU Tech Ventures in order to close the translational gap.
  • Provide education and microsurgical training for research staff and surgical residents locally, nationally, and globally in partnership with Johns Hopkins International.
  • Perform research to enhance technological capacities in areas relevant to the Core mission.
