Our Work Within Johns Hopkins Medicine

The Armstrong Institute was created to reduce preventable harm, patient outcomes and experiences reduce waste in healthcare delivery.

Within Johns Hopkins Medicine, we help coordinate safety and quality improvement efforts across our corporate health system, such as programs to reduce preventable complications and infections to symposiums to discuss recent developments in patient safety research. While some of these efforts are focused on internal audiences, many of these events and programs are open to those outside of Johns Hopkins Medicine.
