Pediatric Allergy/Immunology Procedure Clinic
We provide a range of testing for children and teens with allergies and immunologic conditions.
We provide testing and treatment for children and adolescents with allergic and immunologic conditions. Some common symptoms you might see if your child has an allergic or immunologic condition can include chronic runny nose, cough, itchiness or hives; reaction to certain drugs, insects or vaccines; or recurrent infections.
When your child visits the clinic, we will take a detailed health history and perform a physical exam. Depending on the type of condition, your child’s first appointment may last one to two hours if we’re able to perform skin testing or other procedures such as a breathing or blood test right away.
We will discuss your child’s test results and treatment plan at your child’s follow-up appointment.
As an academic institution, patients also will be seen by medical residents, fellows and nurse practitioner students under the guidance of your child’s physician.
We provide a range of tests for allergic and immunologic conditions including:
- Skin prick testing for allergies including drug, pollen, mold, animal and insect
- Blood testing for environmental allergies
- Blood testing for immunologic conditions
- Blood and saliva testing for genetic evaluation of immunodeficiency
- Patch test for evaluation of rashes
- Drug and vaccine challenge
- Pulmonary function test
- Exhaled nitric oxide test
