Curriculum
The Johns Hopkins Administrative Fellowship curriculum is composed of four- and two-week rotations across Johns Hopkins Medicine. Each rotation focuses on providing fellows project-based work, shadowing opportunities with department leaders, and networking opportunities.
Following the completion of the core rotations, the last five months of the Administrative Fellowship are open for elective rotations throughout Johns Hopkins Medicine. Availability of elective rotations are subject to the fellows' interests and also the availability of the division/department desired. Throughout the entire program, fellows are connected with alumni fellows who shares their career experiences and provide guidance for young professionals in healthcare.

Leadership and Mentoring
The Director for the administrative fellowship program is Lisa Ishii, M.D., Senior Vice President of Operations, for Johns Hopkins Health System and Professor, Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Otolaryngology. Fellows have a unique opportunity to meet regularly with the program’s executive sponsor, Kevin Sowers, M.S.N., R.N., F.A.A.N., President of the Johns Hopkins Health System and Executive Vice President of Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Each administrative fellow is assigned a mentor to act as an advisor throughout the two years. In addition, administrative fellows have the opportunity to meet regularly with Kevin Sowers is also the Executive Champion of the JHM Administrative Fellowship Program. These relationships provide extensive mentoring and learning opportunities for the fellows. Outside of formal relationships, there are many opportunities for Administrative Fellows to explore informal professional relationships. All members of the fellowship committee are available to the fellows throughout their fellowship.
