  • Woreta is Recipient of Inaugural ABMS Research Award

    Fasika A. Woreta, M.D., M.P.H., the Eugene de Juan, MD Professor of Ophthalmic Education, is a recipient of an inaugural research grant from the American Board of Medical Specialties Research and Education Foundation for her work on "Gender, Racial and Ethnic Diversity in Oral Board Examiners of Surgical Specialties."

  • Parikh, Shekhawat Win Discovery Awards

    Kunal Parikh, Ph.D. and cornea faculty member Nakul Shekhawat, M.D., M.P.H., the Stephen F Raab and Mariellen Brickley-Raab Rising Professor of Ophthalmology, won two Johns Hopkins Discovery Awards for their work on projects titled "Eliminating Cataract-related Vision Loss Through a New, Artificial Intelligence-based Screening Modality" and "Preventing Blindness Using AI-enabled, Point-of-care Diagnosis of Corneal Infections." The awards were among 44 given to interdisciplinary faculty teams across eleven units of Johns Hopkins.
