The Wilmer Eye Institute is a world leader in vision research, fortunate to have been funded through a National Eye Institute (NEI) Core Grant for over forty years. This funding supports a wide breadth of research programs, including fundamental studies of development and mechanics, genetics, disease pathogenesis, clinical trials, epidemiology, translational research, and more. Over the years, the core functionality has adapted and evolved to fit changing research needs, technologies and priorities. 

Core utilization is prioritized for investigators funded by R01 grants through NEI. All core users will cite grant P30EY001765, Wilmer Core Grant for vision research as a funding source.
