Retirement Guide for JHU Faculty and Senior Staff
The Benefits Service Center has developed a guide called What Happens When…Retirement that includes information on retirement eligibility, checklists of items to complete, health insurance plans and other benefits for university retirees.
School of Medicine Senior Faculty Retirement Resources
The School of Medicine Office of Faculty has developed a robust website for retirement resources geared specifically towards School of Medicine Faculty.
Work, Life and Engagement
The Office of Work, Life and Engagement dedicates significant efforts to resources for Hopkins retirees. Faculty and staff can find resources for retirement planning as well as benefits available to current retirees at this link: https://hr.jhu.edu/benefits-worklife/retirement/
The Prospective Retiree tab contains a list of important planning resources including information on our day-long Pre-Retirement Programs and the Retire Right workshop and other retirement guides.
The Current Retiree tab contains a list of privileges and programs available to Hopkins retirees.
Anyone who has retirement-related questions should call the Benefits Service Center at 410-516-2000 or email [email protected]. Our Retirement Specialist can answer your questions about the many Hopkins-related benefits. Our Lifespan Services Consultant can provide information for general retirement-planning and support during your transition into retirement.

Osher offers educational and social opportunities for mature adults. There is a full course catalog of non-credit classes in Baltimore and Columbia. Hopkins retirees are eligible for tuition remission. Please contact the Osher office at 410-516-9719 for enrollment information and to find out how to take advantage of tuition remission.
