Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
The Johns Hopkins Urban Health Programs, Combined Medicine-Pediatrics Urban Health (UH) and Internal Medicine tracks, are committed to developing a community of diverse primary care physician leaders who partner with systematically marginalized patients to improve intergenerational health in Baltimore and beyond. Our UH curriculum pairs comprehensive clinical training with community-based learning, readying our residents to dismantle inequities and build a justice-driven society in which all can flourish.
We are committed to cultivating and sustaining an environment that fosters the development of physician leaders who are committed to eliminating the nation’s health inequities through patient care, education, advocacy, and research. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values of our education programs, the Departments of Medicine & Pediatrics, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
