The Harry J. Duffey Family Patient and Family Services Program offers a variety of resources such as emotional support, assistance with temporary housing and transportation, help with finances and legal matters, religious support and aid in managing care.

 

About The Department

Our Social Work Department provides for the psychological, social, emotional and practical needs of cancer patients and their families. Masters-level social workers with expertise in the field of oncology can help patients and their caregivers manage the stress and changes that come with cancer.     Family meetings, discharge planning, advocacy, home care, private duty and hospice information, oncology pain and palliative care service.

  • Survivorship

    Cancer Survivorship begins on the day of diagnosis. Cancer treatment for some can be a long and challenging journey. It is extremely important to see doctors who specialize in your type of cancer

Brager Humanitarian Awardprovides Johns Hopkins patients and families an opportunity to recognize non-physician staff members who demonstrate extraordinary service in the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. You may know and recognize them for their compassion and dedication or for their ability to be a leader or a role model.
