Pierse Byrnes, CRNP
Pierse Byrnes is a nurse practitioner and advanced practice provider leader for the outpatient division of hematologic malignancies at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Ms. Byrnes earned her masters of science in nursing in 2014 from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing with an adult critical care and gerontology focus. She is a licensed Nurse Practitioner in Maryland and a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Ms. Byrnes primarily treats patients with MDS, leukemia, aplastic anemia, lymphoma and those undergoing blood or marrow transplantation.

Valerie Ironside
Valerie Ironside is a nurse practitioner who works with the Oncology Urgent Care and with the division of hematologic malignancies at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Ms. Ironside earned her master’s of science in nursing in 1998 from the University of Pittsburgh with an acute care and oncology focus. She is a licensed Nurse Practitioner in Maryland and a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Ms. Ironside was a recipient of the Friends of Oncology Nursing Clinical Excellence Award in 2007.
Ms. Ironside primarily treated patients with leukemia and those undergoing blood or marrow transplantation. She has more recently developed a practice in Urgent Care for oncology patients.

Amy L. Goodrich, RN, BSN, MSN, CRNP-AC
Amy Goodrich earned her Master’s Degree in 2000 as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the Johns Hopkins University and her undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Ms. Goodrich manages patients with various types of hematologic malignancies, concentrating on the lymphomas. She has published and presented widely on a variety of lymphoma topics. She also manages the Cancer Center’s research nurses and is extremely involved in research operations.
