Priority Partners Proudly Sponsors the Hispanic Health Festival
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Hispanic Health Festival has a long-standing commitment to serving the Hispanic community of Anne Arundel County. And as one of the main sponsors of the 2022 event, and having played a role in the event since its beginning, Priority Partners has a long-standing commitment to the festival.
Priority Partners Community Health Advocate Elizabeth Matienzo-Bray is also the Health Care Coordinator for the event. Held on Sept. 24, the festival welcomed more than 2,000 local residents, assisting them with a variety of health and human services, including free physical exams and other health care services for those with low or no income. Services provided included:
- Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines
- Hearing screenings
- Kidney disease screenings
- Primary health care
- Dental screenings
- Emotional health
- STD tests & education
- CPR classes
- Birth Certificates issued by the Maryland Health Department
- 4 mobile consulates expending documents for their natives (Mexico, Peru, El Salvador and Guatemala)
The purpose of the festival is to facilitate access to health care services, community resources and education for underserved populations, including those with no health insurance or those with Limited English Proficiency.
With a table of its own, Priority Partners answered questions about health care options available to those who may qualify for federal health programs. As a whole, the event also provides healthy food for attendees to take home and connects them to local organizations and resources.
Priority Partners was proud to again sponsor this event to provide needed assistance to the local Hispanic community.
