JHHC Golf Tournament Raises $25K for United Way of Central Maryland
With around 100 golfers and a $25,000 donation to United Way of Central Maryland (UWCM), the Johns Hopkins HealthCare Healthy Drives Golf Tournament had a successful inaugural event.
Held at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD, the event was threatened by a forecast of thunderstorms. And while a downpour did end the golfing a few holes early, it did hold off long enough for a day of collaboration, fun and generosity.
Through golfer registration, sponsorships, a raffle and silent auction, JHHC raised money for its long-standing community partner, UWCM. Through Johns Hopkins Medicine, JHHC employees participate in an annual giving campaign for UWCM. The Healthy Drives tournament added to our current year fundraising, bringing our year-to-date contribution to more than $65,000.
We encourage you to learn more about the work UWCM does for our neighbors and communities, and if you know someone who could benefit from their services, please contact the organization.
