JHHC Announces New COO
BALTIMORE, MD — Johns Hopkins HealthCare (JHHC) is pleased to announce the hiring of its new Chief Operating Officer, Ryan O’Donnell, effective June 6. O’Donnell formerly served as the senior vice president of Customer Service and Pharmacy Benefit Manager Implementation at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
“Ryan brings a wealth of expertise in multiple aspects of the health care industry,” said J.P. Holland, JHHC’s president and CEO. “His experience in integrated care delivery systems, member experience, and employee engagement will make our organization, health plans, and the health outcomes for the members we serve even better.”
As COO, O’Donnell will oversee all aspects of JHHC’s operations, including sales and marketing, customer services, operations, network management, IT, and more. O’Donnell will support JHHC’s commitments to providing access to high quality, value-based health care and improving the health and well-being of the plan members and communities it serves.
O’Donnell holds a Master of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Virginia. Before serving in previous other roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, O’Donnell worked in corporate planning for Henry Ford Health System and as a consultant in the Healthcare Solutions Group at CGI Inc., where he implemented electronic health record and enterprise content management solutions for major health care provider systems nationwide.
