The Johns Hopkins University Human Research Protection Programs operate in full compliance with the Maryland law on human subjects research (more commonly known as The Hubbard Act).

Pursuant to The Hubbard Act, any person who wishes to inspect the final minutes from a Johns Hopkins University Institutional Review Board (IRB) convened meeting held after October 1, 2002, may do so by submitting a written request outlining the specific minutes to be inspected. A written request for IRB minutes under The Hubbard Act should be submitted to the Associate Dean for Human Research Protection in the Office of Human Subjects Research. Prior to making the minutes available, the IRB may redact confidential or privileged information in accordance with The Hubbard Act.
