It is the policy of the Organization to provide financial and non-financial support for the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). Types of support provided shall include sufficient meeting space to support IRB review functions, staff to support IRB functions, IT support for an electronic application system, legal and monitoring expertise, and establishment of a sufficient number of IRBs to efficiently review human research applications.

Annually, at the time of the yearly budgeting process, an evaluation of the resources needed to support the HRPP will be conducted by the Vice Dean for Clinical Investigation, Associate Dean for Human Research Protections and the OHSR Director of Operations utilizing feedback from the annual HRPP retreat and IRB member retreat.
