Visitor Requirements

To ensure a productive experience at Johns Hopkins Hospital, please review the following requirements:

  • Observational Only: Visitors may observe but are not permitted to provide direct patient care.
  • Advance Notice: All visit requests must be submitted at least three months before your anticipated arrival date.
  • Duration: Visits can range from one day to four weeks.
  • Language Proficiency: Visitors must be proficient in English; interpreters are not provided. We may assess language competency for non-native speakers.
  • Cost: Fees are based on visit length, number of participants, and schedule complexity. Note that transportation, housing, and meals are not included.
  • Travel Arrangements: Please do not finalize travel plans until your visit and itinerary are confirmed by the Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing.
