Emerging infections represent illnesses that are considered to be relatively new and/or that increase rapidly to potentially pose a public health threat, for example new infections such as Ebola, Nipah, oropouche, dengue, zika, chikungunya, avian flu, COVID-19, SARS, and MERS. As they continue to evolve, our team is deeply invested in research and clinical care that meet the challenges presented by emerging infectious diseases all over the world.
