Accessing Your Images and Reports
-
After your exam, Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging radiologists will read the images and detail the results in a written report for your referring physician. The report is sent directly to the referring physician’s office, usually within 24 hours of the exam.
Please note: Radiology reports will not be available to patients until three business days following the radiologist's final report of the imaging study. You can also find out your results by calling your physician who ordered the exam.
-
If you are signed up for MyChart, the written report will be posted in your patient portal when available. A message notification will be sent to the email address you used to register with MyChart. Log in to MyChart or learn more about MyChart.
-
Patients or referring physicians may request a copy of the radiologist’s written report or copies of the images on a CD.
-
Patients must complete a medical information release form before the report or images can be released to the patient. The release form is not necessary for your physician who ordered the exam to receive the report. See our FAQs.
Please call our Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging location for a copy of your CD of images or reports.
