About Us

The goal of the Occupational and Environmental Safety Office is to promote and ensure a safe and healthy work environmental for all employees working at the Johns Hopkins Enterprise (JHE).  This office is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies, training programs, and procedures that prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and accidents.  By conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and regulatory compliance reviews, the Occupational and Environmental Safety Office helps the JHE adhere to local, state, and federal safety and health standards.

Our Services

The Occupational and Environmental Safety Office assesses compliance with all applicable safety and environmental laws dealing with Radiation, Biological, Lab, Occupational, Environmental, and Chemical Safety.  We are a key resource for all JHE employees, providing guidance and support whenever safety-related questions or concerns arise.  We are here to assist with identifying potential hazards, interpreting regulations, and offering practical solutions to maintain a safe and health work environment.  Our goal is to be a trusted partner in promoting workplace safety across all areas of the organization.
