Infusion Services
Outpatient Infusion Center
Our outpatient infusion services are designed for patients who need special injections, iron infusions, osteoporosis medications, implanted port care (flush/draw) and infusions of drugs to treat auto-immune diseases (such as Tysabri® for multiple sclerosis).
Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) and nurses from Johns Hopkins Care at Home provide these infusion services in the Medical Arts Building, the building right next to the hospital, on the second floor.

Hospital Infusion Center
Patients who need blood product transfusions and injections, rabies shots and certain endocrine tests that require blood draws and medication are performed at the hospital’s Infusion Center. Located on the first floor of the main hospital within The Center for Wound Healing, the Infusion Center is staffed by nurses skilled in managing IV infusions and is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with appointments available between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Appointments are scheduled to allow for the length of time needed to infuse the medication or blood product.
To schedule an appointment, please go through your physician. If you have questions or need to speak to one of the nurses, please call 443-718-3160.
