Application Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply?
Start your journey at Johns Hopkins by applying for the cardiology fellowship program. All fellowship applications are processed through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). We accept applications only through ERAS, at the beginning of each recruitment season.
Do you accept fellows outside of the match?
We take fellows only through the National Residency Match Program for Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure/Transplant and Electrophysiology.
How many fellows do you accept each year?
We accept the following number of fellows for each program:
- Cardiovascular Disease: Nine
- Interventional/Structural Cardiology: Two
- Electrophysiology: Three
- Heart Failure/Transplant: Two
How long is your fellowship?
The length of each fellowship program is:
- Cardiovascular Disease: Minimum of three years, with optional fourth year
- Interventional/Structural Cardiology: Two years
- Electrophysiology: Two years
- Heart Failure/Transplant: One year
Do you sponsor any visas?
Yes, we accept J-1 ECFMG visas and H-1B visas.
