Jennifer Kearney, R.N.C., is a career obstetric nurse specializing in fetal therapy for the past five years. She is a compassionate, professional nurse committed to seamless coordination of care for the special population she serves. Kearney uses excellent clinical skills to provide comprehensive nursing care during prenatal appointments, fetal testing and surgical procedures. She is currently working on her bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland School of Nursing.

As a military spouse, Melissa Laurie has worked for more than 10 years in multiple maternal-fetal medicine units throughout the country, honing her expertise in the diagnosis of fetal anomalies. Most recently, she was the Lead Sonographer at Medstar Washington Hospital. Melissa graduated summa cum laude from the Ferris State University Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program after earning a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Central Michigan University. She strives to make every visit for each patient and their loved ones a meaningful and positive experience despite the challenging nature of their pregnancy.

Cyrethia “CiCi” McShane graduated as valedictorian of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and magna cum laude from Weber State University, with a major in diagnostic medical sonography and a minor in health care administration. McShane has worked for the Johns Hopkins Health Systems for over 20 years. She started her career in the Johns Hopkins Prenatal Diagnosis and Treatment Center, then transferred to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. As senior sonographer II/data coordinator, she combines her unique skill sets in diagnostic medical sonography and information technology in the cutting-edge field of fetal therapy.

Sarah Millard has more than 10 years of experience as a high-risk obstetrical sonographer at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, specializing in multiple gestations, the diagnosis and treatment of high-risk maternal and fetal conditions, ultrasound guidance for fetal procedures, and fetal echocardiography. Millard graduated from the Johns Hopkins Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program after earning a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Towson University. She strives to give all of her patients exceptional care, undivided attention and support.

Katherine Rock, Genetic Counselor

Genetic Counselor

Katherine “Katie” Rock, M.S., C.G.C., meets with patients whose children may be at an increased risk for a genetic condition or birth defect. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Virginia and her master’s degree in genetic counseling at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
