Fellows spend 52 weeks over three years treating and managing in- and outpatients with kidney issues, including intensive care patients requiring hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy. During this time, fellows pursue a master’s degree in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and participate in epidemiology journal club and grand rounds. A track for basic science research is also available. Several general nephrology and transplant clinics take place each month.
