    The Johns Hopkins Interventional Cardiology Training Program represents the highest quality training in the field of interventional cardiology. Trainees develop and demonstrate competence in the clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgment, professionalism and interpersonal skills required as a specialist in interventional cardiology. At the completion of the training program, the trainee will have acquired the competency to pass the appropriate specialty boards required to practice independently as a specialist in the field.

    The primary goal of the interventional pulmonary medicine training program is to develop the next leaders in interventional pulmonology though clinical excellence, research, and education. Our educational philosophy is to give graduated responsibility for clinical activities to maximize learning and acquisition of skills, while providing sufficient oversight and mentorship to guarantee a productive environment. There are two one-year positions, with an option for an additional research year.

Our proven limb preservation pathways incorporate a variety of wound modalities coupled with our technological savvy Noraxon Computer-Assisted Gait Analysis (CAGA) providing patients with the greatest opportunity for continued limb preservation and remaining in remission and ulcer-free.     The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Training Program at Johns Hopkins is a clinical and research-oriented fellowship designed to provide advanced education and training in the care of the pregnant patient and her fetus, prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical and didactic teaching skills, and developing research skills. Our academic environment, faculty educators, case acuity, diversity and volume of complicated pregnancies provide a strong foundation for our comprehensive fellowship training program in maternal-fetal medicine.

    The medical biochemical genetics fellowship is a one year ABMGG-accredited fellowship open to those who have completed a residency in medical genetics. This fellowship offers specialized training in inpatient and outpatient biochemical genetics with the renowned clinical faculty of the McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine, clinical laboratory experiences in the Maryland State Newborn Screening Laboratory and at the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Biochemical Genetics Laboratory, and dedicated time for independent research.

    The Medical Microbiology Fellowship Program is ACGME-accredited in all major areas of microbial identification and susceptibility testing. The fellow will be responsible for designing and completing a clinical or basic science research project applying microbiologic skills under the direction of a microbiology division faculty member. Successful fellows may be certified by the American Board of Pathology examination in medical microbiology.
