The patient academic services team supports a connection to the schooling program and provides the child the normalcy of school and learning.
Raye Steinman
PATIENT ACADEMICS COORDINATOR
Raye Steinman is a Florida native raised in Coral Springs. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology from Florida State University and her Masters in Special Education from George Mason University. Working with children and their families has always been a passion of hers, and she especially enjoys teaching creative writing. She is the Patient Academic Services coordinator and the 8S and 8N hospital school teacher.
Hayley Oka
HOSPITAL SCHOOL TEACHER
Hayley Oka was born and raised in Palm Harbor, Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exceptional Student Education. She has a passion for building confidence in children and helping them learn how to self-advocate. After graduating, she taught in Pasco County Schools and then in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. She is currently our hospital school teacher for dialysis, the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU), and 7N hospital school teacher.
Taylor Goldstein
HOSPITAL SCHOOL TEACHER
Taylor Goldstein was born and raised in New York state. She earned her bachelor's degree in early childhood and childhood education from SUNY Plattsburgh. In addition, she received a master's degree in exceptional student education. She has a passion for working hand in hand with students and their families to meet the individual needs of her students. She taught for several years in New York and is thrilled to now be working as a hospital teacher for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She is the 7S and infusion center hospital school teacher.
Brianne Bedasie
TEACHER'S AIDE
Brianne Bedasie is the Teacher's Aide for the Patient Academics Department. She was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Florida State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Family and Child Sciences. She has a passion for working with children and enjoys being in the healthcare setting. Some of Bri's responsibilities include providing bedside tutoring if needed, aid in planning and ordering for PAS events, organizing and maintaining all supplies, and managing volunteers.
