Isaac Chinnappan, chief of the pediatric perfusion division at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, discusses his presentation at the Eighth World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery on the quest for the perfect cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) prime. Understanding of CPB prime in neonates and infants is needed since they are more prone to complications.
