Hee Cheol Cho, director of research at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, discusses his research on heart rhythm. In his work, the biology of the pacemaker cells in the heart are studied and bioengineering principles are engaged to create innovative therapies to restore the heart rhythm. The translational goal for this research is to develop biological pacemakers for patients with an irregular heart rate, and the work aims to create bioengineering solutions for pediatric cardiac pacing so that patients can survive and thrive. #PediatricHeartResearch #JohnsHopkins #CHD
