In 1996, Johns Hopkins Medicine was formed to enhance collaboration and cooperation between the health system and the school of medicine. Today, Johns Hopkins Medicine includes six hospitals, four suburban health care and surgery centers, over 40 patient care locations, a home care group, an international division and one of the oldest medical schools in the country.
