Happy Holidays and warm wishes for the New Year!
Thank you for contacting the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. We will be closing the office at noon on Monday December 23rd and the office will be closed December 24th -January 1st for the holiday. We will re-open on Thursday January 2nd. During this time, we will continue to check emails daily for urgent issues.

 

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs supports postdoctoral researchers in all aspects of their training and development toward independent careers. We collaborate with JHU-JHMI organizations, departments, faculty, and staff to enhance the research, training, wellness, and professional development of postdocs and to support their transition to successful careers in academia, industry, government, and other sectors.

  • New! Neuroscience Scholars Program - Call for Applications. Deadline January 15, 2025. See here
    for more information.

  • Update on Cooley Center, New Fitness Locations: The Cooley Center will remain open through close of business on Dec. 22. New fitness spaces offering cardio equipment and weights will open on or around Jan. 13, and group exercise classes are anticipated to begin in late January or early February (class schedules will be posted at jhmifitness.com). The Bloomberg School of Public Health Fitness Center will not be affected, but it will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.  Locations, Amenities and Hours: Information on the new locations, amenities and hours information can be found here.  

  • New! Nominations open for the 2025 Bouchet Graduate Honor Society. Postdocs are eligible. Application is by self-nomination. Deadline to submit self-nomination materials is January 16, 2025. For more information see here

  • K Award Grant Writing Support for Success. On-Demand Web Course available November 2025 - June 2025. In person workshop is April 1, 2025.   • New! NIH Funding Search Resource. NIH recently released a new resource to search for funding opportunities. 
  • New! NCI pathway to independence award for early-stage postdocs: K99/R00 funding opportunity for basic experimental, clinical and clinical trials. JHU internal deadline January 6, 2025. For more information see here.
