The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs supports postdoctoral researchers in all aspects of their training and development toward independent careers. We collaborate with JHU-JHMI organizations, departments, faculty, and staff to enhance the research, training, wellness, and professional development of postdocs and to support their transition to successful careers in academia, industry, government, and other sectors.

 Congratulations to Jared Tangeman, Ph.D., Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, who was named a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Hanna Gray Fellow.  Dr. Tangeman was also a 2024 Research Accelerator Award Winner. Working in the lab with his mentor, neuroscientist Seth Blackshaw, Dr. Tangeman fellowship research centers on discovering mechanisms of retina regeneration that can be used to combat blindness. 

  

 

 

Congratulations to Nacia Liapodimitri, M.D., Department of Oncology, Division of Pediatric Oncology, who has matched with the Pediatrics Residency Training Program at Johns Hopkins.
Congratulations to Elina Vlachou, Ph.D., Department of Oncology, Division Genitourinary Cancer Disease, who matched with the Osler Medicine Residency Training Program (Internal Medicine) at Johns Hopkins.
